Post-event survey prize draw — terms and conditions 

Institute of Directors 2026 Leadership Conference 

1. Promoter: The promoter is the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (IoD). 

2. Eligibility: The prize draw is open to delegates who attended the Institute of Directors 2026 Leadership Conference either in person or online. To be eligible, entrants must: 

1. 1. complete the 2026 Leadership Conference post-event survey in full and provide valid contact details

   2. purchase and pay for a registration to the Institute of Directors 2027 Leadership Conference by 11:59pm on 30 September 2026

   3. be aged 18 or over 

Employees and contractors of the IoD, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter. 

3. How to enter: Eligible delegates must complete and submit the post-event survey and purchase and pay for their 2027 Leadership Conference registration by 11:59pm on 30 September 2026. One entry is permitted per delegate. Incomplete survey responses, entries without valid contact details, or entries that do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be accepted. 

4. Prize: The prize is reimbursement of the winner’s registration cost for the Institute of Directors 2027 Leadership Conference, to be held at the Viaduct Events Centre, Auckland, on 9–10 September 2027. The reimbursement will be limited to the amount the winner paid for their conference registration. 

5. Prize exclusions: The prize covers the winner’s 2027 Leadership Conference registration cost only. It does not include travel, accommodation, meals outside those included as part of the conference registration, parking, transfers or any other costs associated with attending the conference. 

6. Prize restrictions: The prize applies only to the eligible 2027 Leadership Conference registration purchased by the winner by 11:59pm on 30 September 2026. It cannot be transferred to another person, exchanged for another prize or applied to another IoD event. 

7. Prize draw and winner notification: One winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries after entries close at 11:59pm on 30 September 2026. The IoD will contact the winner using the contact details provided with their survey response and arrange reimbursement of their eligible 2027 Leadership Conference registration cost. 

8. Verification: The IoD may verify that an entrant attended or viewed the 2026 Leadership Conference, completed the post-event survey and purchased and paid for an eligible 2027 Leadership Conference registration by 11:59pm on 30 September 2026. The IoD may disqualify entries that are incomplete, inaccurate or otherwise breach these terms and conditions. 

9. Conference conditions: Attendance at the 2027 Leadership Conference is subject to the IoD’s standard conference terms and conditions and any venue requirements that apply at the time of the event. 

10. Privacy: The IoD will use entrants’ contact details to administer the prize draw and notify the winner. If an entrant has opted in to marketing communications, the IoD may also use their details for that purpose. Survey responses may be analysed and reported in aggregate. Individual responses will not be published without permission. The IoD’s privacy policy applies. 

11. Publicity: The winner agrees that the IoD may announce their first name or initial and city for the purpose of confirming the prize draw result. No further publicity is required. 

12. Liability: To the extent permitted by law, the IoD is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or expense connected with the prize, except where caused by the IoD’s negligence. Travel, accommodation and all other costs associated with attending the 2027 conference are the winner’s responsibility. 

13. General: The IoD’s decision is final. The IoD may amend, suspend or cancel the prize draw if circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary, provided any change does not materially disadvantage entrants. 

14. Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
